About Greater New Victory

Greater New Victory Christian Center was founded in 1978 by Pastor, Apostle Lawrence Gray and his wife Evangelist Rosie Gray in Seattle, Washington.  It was then named Victory Temple Church of God in Christ, and he served there until receiving a call from God to relocate to San Diego, California in 1985.  He believed that his assignment was to recall the backslider back to God.

This call continues to be his focus and drive.  Pastor Gray preaches candidly and has been gifted to reach the unlearned as well as the educated, the weak and strong, the young and the mature – He is a Man of God!

In 2006, a new move took place at “Victory.”  A new name, a new vision, and a fresh anointing, thus, the name changed.  No more Victory Temple, but now – Greater New Victory Christian Center.

Though the name is new, the mission remains the same – “Win the lost at any cost for Pentecost.”

Statement of Faith

Mission statement

Greater New Victory Christian Center is a Biblical ministry of Excellence designed to encourage life transformation through our threefold purpose: to Evangelize, Edify, and Equip the whole person to serve the community and reach the world for Jesus Christ – Have passion and love perfect in our service, and a never give-up attitude in our living as we empower the world in a Bible-based ministry.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.

We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at His return.

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin, is through repentance, faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water.

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing in prayer.

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who asks for it.

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Holy and separated life in this present world, Amen.
